Introduction to DLC in Blueprints Pro V3 (5.6)
This plugin enables seamless integration of Steam and Epic Games Store DLC systems into your project using a single, modular blueprint node. Designed for easy implementation and flexibility, it fits effortlessly into any game project, providing both user-friendly functionality and robust features.
On the Steam platform, the plugin allows you to:
– Check if a DLC or the base game is purchased and installed on the player’s Steam account.
– Open the Steam store page for a specific game or DLC via the Steam overlay using a single blueprint node.
– Open any external webpage—such as your game’s website or social media profile—directly from the Steam overlay.
– Implement anti-piracy protection by verifying game ownership through the Steam client within your game logic.
On the Epic Games Store platform, the plugin supports:
– Checking whether a DLC or the base game is purchased on the player’s Epic Games account.
– Opening a checkout window directly within the Epic Games Store overlay for in-game purchases (available only on EGS).
– Adding microtransactions to your game via the Epic Games Store with ease.
– Enabling anti-piracy measures by validating ownership through the Epic Games Store client.
– Retrieving detailed information about the game and its DLC—including price, title, description, release and expiration dates—within blueprints. This data can be used to automate in-game store widgets, such as updating prices during sales.
