
The CGr Handgun 5.0+ is a customizable gun asset pack designed for Unreal Engine 5. The project, named “CG” for Customizable Guns with “r” indicating a remaster, has been fully updated to support UE5’s Manny mannequin. All animations have been retargeted to work with the UE5 Manny, and the character’s Blueprint now operates in True FPS mode, using the full mannequin rather than just the arms. Due to Manny’s split animblueprint (upper and lower body), the “ik_hand_gun” bone is no longer used in animations but remains for procedural aiming. New animations utilize the “GunMainBoneMove” system, where the weapon’s main bone is animated while the weapon stays attached to the right hand’s socket. The old animations, featuring “ik_hand_gun” bone movement, are preserved in a “Legacy” folder. The Data Table has been updated to reflect these changes, and several variables have been moved to weapon blueprints for easier real-time adjustments via the construction script. The project includes Blueprints, meshes, materials, and textures intended for reuse in other projects to promote consistency and integration. While the blueprints are configured for presentation, advanced developers can modify and enhance them—beginners may find the setup complex. Additional animations include frag grenade throw, stun grenade throw, and weapon jamming. A bonus folder contains unused animations such as “Weapon Block Idle Animations” and various movement sequences. This asset pack is intended as a modular component, allowing developers to integrate weapon models and animations into more advanced projects.
