The groom system supports hair cutting, enabling developers to create additional hair styles beyond those included in the pack. Binding is not required for the hair to function correctly. Users simply need to drag the hair onto the character, adjust its size, and attach it to the head bone. Binding can only be enabled through Maya Xgen for specific character setups, and support is available for generating Xgen Maya files if needed.
