 The Path Follow plugin allows any actor to follow any spline path, including relative or moving paths. It provides direct control over location, rotation, and speed of following within the Unreal Engine 4 editor. Users can trigger behaviors at specific event points along the path. The plugin includes a built-in rotation points generator for prototyping rotation along a path, speed points for precise speed control (with runtime adjustments), and the ability to execute scripts or code when passing an event point. Rotation, speed, and event points can be visually manipulated using UE4’s standard rotation and translation widgets or context menu. Fine-tuning is supported in the UE4 curve editor. The plugin features built-in easing and looping with seamless support for closed paths, and the follower can look at another scene component during movement. The “LookAt” feature enables easy prototyping of game cut scenes. The plugin is compatible with both Blueprint-only and code-based projects, requiring no C++ integration. It works in VR and on mobile platforms and comes with an example project, detailed documentation, and instructional videos to help users get started quickly.
