Optimize and increase your framerate with Xe Super Sampling 2 (XeSS 2), now available for Unity!
XeSS 2 is an upscaling technique that generates high-quality, high-resolution frames from lower-resolution input. By using XeSS 2, your project can run at a significantly lower resolution without sacrificing visual quality, resulting in a substantial framerate boost.
If your project is limited by GPU performance, XeSS 2 will increase the framerate. If the bottleneck is CPU-based, it reduces the GPU workload, improving efficiency and extending battery life on laptops.
The asset is designed for ease of use, with comprehensive documentation guiding you through the setup process. It has been extensively tested with all default Unity Post-Processing effects, though custom post-processing assets may not work out of the box. If you encounter issues, contact the developers for support.
XeSS 2 includes high-quality Spatial Anti-Aliasing, eliminating jagged edges and flickering while improving performance.
For additional upscaling options:
– FSR 3 – Upscaling for Unity for AMD and cross-platform support
– DLSS 4 – Upscaling for Unity for NVIDIA users seeking the highest visual fidelity
– SGSR 2 Mobile – Upscaling for Unity, optimized for mobile and older devices
Support: Refer to the documentation or contact the team via Discord. While the asset has been thoroughly tested, edge cases may arise—please reach out if you encounter any issues.
Available for Unity 2021, 2022, 2023, and Unity 6.
