 IA Scatter V5.6 is an effective blueprint actor and static mesh instance scattering tool. It offers a wide range of features including area, spline, planar, linear, and point tracing options with 1D and omnidirectional support. The tool supports static mesh voxelization distribution and texture map instance projection, enabling static mesh and actor (blueprint) instancing with probability settings. It includes convex/concave detection mode, clustering, scale falloff gradient with ratio control, look-at rotation options with 3D target widgets, and the ability to use splines from separate actors. Spline rotation can be applied to instances, and fixed instance distance along spline is supported. Tracing behavior can be customized based on physical materials and selected actors, with the option to ignore certain actors during trace (trace passthrough). Overlapping avoidance (via two methods) and minimum instance distance are available, along with slope angle distribution. The control panel includes autoPopulate functionality to append selected static meshes or blueprints to selected IA Scatter instances, and a function to convert scattered instances into actual scene actors. The scattering area can be rotated to face any direction, with separate instanced mesh relative scale, complete instance rotation control with snapping, and full uniform and non-uniform scale control. Instances can be aligned to the normal, with distance from the face along the normal, and instance collision type can be selected. The tool supports both construction script and event graph / runtime execution.
