
BG Database is a data editor for in-game data with an Excel-like GUI. It supports synchronization with Excel and Google Sheets, and provides save/load functionality. The tool integrates with Unity assets fields and supports code generation, as well as integration with visual scripting tools such as Playmaker, Bolt, Flow Canvas, Node Canvas, UNode, Behavior Designer, and Game Creator. It enables export and import to Google Sheets, Excel, JSON, CSV, and Scriptable Objects. Over 50 field types are supported, including relations and Unity assets with Addressables compatibility. Data binding is supported via graph binder and UI Toolkit. A runtime data editor is available, along with 2-way and 3-way merge tools for multi-developer environments. Integration with Plastic SCM (Unity Version Control) is available, and modding support and live updates are included. A localization addon is also available via the Asset Store. The tool is tested on Desktop, iOS, and Android. Third-party components include SimpleJson, LightCsvParser, and PlasticSCM CMDRunner, all under the MIT license. Version v1.9.2.
