Introducing the Sandstorm Environment – Planet-X v4.26-4.27, 5.0 game resource pack, a detailed and highly customizable environment designed for creating immersive sandstorms on planetary surfaces. This resource pack enables developers to instantly generate dynamic sandstorms by dragging pre-built particle systems into the scene. The environment features realistic interactions such as small stones shaking dust when they collide with the ground during movement, enhancing visual fidelity.
The pack includes three demonstration levels that showcase the same base environment with different visual styles, demonstrating its versatility in simulating both Martian and Earth-like winter environments. Key features include surface customization, powerful material instance parameters, distance-based landscape tessellation, and heightmap-driven layer blending.
A range of customizable parameters are available through plug-and-play functions, including Distance Roughness, Random Darken, Distance Fade, Displacement, Tessellation, Material AO, SpecRough, Colorizer, Mesh UV, World UV, NormalB, Modifier, Particle, Detail, Cloud, Snow, Color, and Heat. The resource also supports dynamic cloud shadows, landscape paint layers, and three unique lighting setups.
To enable snow effects, users must navigate to the Functions folder, locate the F_Snow function, activate the Switch nodes by setting their default value to True, and apply the changes to recompile the material—snow will then be applied to all models. This resource is ideal for developers seeking realistic, flexible, and performance-optimized planetary environments.
