 The Multiplayer Damage and Health System is a comprehensive resource pack designed to streamline the creation of realistic health and damage mechanics in multiplayer games. At its core is the Health_BP actor component, a versatile and standardized component that can be attached to any actor to manage its health with extensive customization options. This component supports a wide range of health behaviors, including weak spots, armor values, elemental resistances and weaknesses, multiple health pools for different body parts, and layered shielding systems. Each health element can operate independently, with unique behaviors and interactions, allowing for dynamic responses to damage. The system automatically handles damage events by determining which part of the actor was hit, the amount of damage, and any applicable modifiers, making it suitable for both simple characters and complex bosses with destructible parts and layered defenses.

The package includes a customizable health bar actor that can be used as a child component to visually represent an actor’s health status. A dedicated Blueprint Interface enables precise and detailed damage event transmission between actors and their health components, offering greater flexibility and control than Unreal Engine’s built-in damage system. The components are designed to be modular and open-ended, allowing integration with existing game systems and custom setups. The resource also features a set of demonstration actors that illustrate various configurations and use cases, helping developers understand how to implement the Health_BP component in different scenarios.
