 The SKG Shooter Framework V2 is a modular, component-based first-person shooter framework designed for Unreal Engine 5.3 and above. It offers a high-performance, efficient architecture focused on optimization across key systems. The framework uses a push model for replication, reducing network overhead by minimizing data transmission and leveraging fast array serialization and variable compression. It offloads animation processing to worker threads, enabling parallel execution of multiple pawn animations and significantly improving performance compared to traditional game-thread-based systems. The procedural system provides deep firearm control, supporting unlimited poses via curves—including high port, low port, short stock, blind fire, and shoulder swapping—along with dynamic recoil, collision, and movement sway. Firearm attachments such as optics, lasers, grips, and muzzle devices are fully supported, with additional features like muzzle temperature for realistic suppressor smoke and heat effects. A built-in infrared/night vision system includes compute-shader-based tube burn-in and post-process overlays for realistic visuals. The attachment system is universal, supporting not only firearms but also character accessories like armor and backpacks. A bodycam-style setup is enabled through simple post-process materials, allowing developers to quickly implement a bodycam effect. The framework emphasizes performance, responsiveness, and flexibility, making it suitable for complex, high-fidelity FPS experiences.
