Enviro 3 - Sky and Weather v3.2.2 (20 Jun 2025)
Enviro 3 – Sky and Weather v3.2.2 (20 Jun 2025) introduces a next-generation sky, cloud, and weather system for Unity, designed for performance, flexibility, and ease of use. Compatible with Unity 2020.3.36 or higher, the resource pack supports all major render pipelines—including Built-in, Universal Render Pipeline (URP), and HDRP—out of the box.

With a modular design, users can add or remove specific features directly through the Enviro inspector, enabling customization without unnecessary bloat. The dynamic sky system allows for intuitive color gradient control, enabling realistic and unique skies. Realistic lighting is managed through directional, ambient, and reflection probe controls, optimized for dynamic time of day.

The dual-layer volumetric clouds system delivers stunning visuals with efficient performance, featuring temporal reprojection, LOD management, depth blending, and screen-space cloud shadows. A dual-layer exponential height-based fog system enhances misty or atmospheric scenes, supporting volumetric lighting from the sun and moon, as well as point and spot lights. Fog can be selectively removed via effect removal zones.

An optional weather system supports biome-based presets, allowing smooth transitions between weather states with a single line of code. The pack includes a customizable aurora borealis effect rendered within the sky shader, ideal for cold night scenes. VR support is available with single-pass instanced rendering in Built-in and URP, with future updates planned for HDRP VR.

Additional features under development include dynamic time of day with calendar support, realistic sun and moon position simulation (latitude/longitude), performant 2D clouds, seasonal changes, temperature simulation, wetness and snow effects, particle effect management, audio integration, procedural lightning storms, and an event system for game logic.
