Ships and Rocks v1.0 (4.26-5.6) Game Resource Pack Introduction:
This resource pack features two levels — an environment and an overview map. The overview map includes detailed descriptions of all features. A new update (November 2023) adds animations for folding (furling) sails.
The pack includes over 190 meshes (including 5 Blueprints), 123 materials, all of which are parametric, one particle system, and a bonus trailer soundtrack.
It contains a Chinese junk, two merged galleons with rigging and animations, sails with simple baked animations and cloth simulation, and nine modular segments of the galleons. In the map, you can move entire segments and align sterns, bows, and middles to create nine different ship combinations (snapping to 500 and world coordinates for positioning). Two ships are merged and animated with five animations. Ships feature realistic water removal from the interior (check the overview map or refer to the YouTube tutorial), along with a realistic water material that supports four types of waves.
The pack now includes an option for sail curling. In addition to cloth-simulated sails, there are pre-baked sails located in Meshes\sails-prebaked with seamless looping animations. These animations are overlapped in Sequencer, allowing Unreal Engine to smoothly interpolate transitions. For the merged galleon (G1 only), use the "G1_rigging_new" skeletal mesh (found in Meshes\G1-merged). It includes multiple pre-baked animations (in Meshes\G1-merged\Animations) named starting with "anim_G1-...". To keep sails folded, use "anim_G1-new_rig_folded-POSE" for the merged galleon or look for animations containing "-folded" in the name. Examples are available in the overview map.
Note: If pre-baked animations are used, cloth simulation will not be available.
