Racing AI (5.4+) is a game resource pack designed to enable AI vehicles to race on any track with realistic driving behavior. The AI can calculate throttle, brake, and steering inputs, perform overtaking or dodging maneuvers while following the racing line, and only overtake when safe. It maintains a safe distance from vehicles ahead or beside it when overtaking is not possible and can reverse and steer through obstacles if the road is blocked. The AI automatically resets if flipped.
The pack offers full customization of AI performance, including three driver profile classes—Rookie, Advanced, and Pro—each with varying steering accuracy and throttle intensity. Throttle intensity can be adjusted for all profile classes, and the update interval can be customized for performance optimization in Blueprints.
Additional features include RPM-based engine sounds (with replaceable audio files under CC0 1.0 license), a mesh populating spline tool to place crash barriers on any track (with replaceable mesh), and quick vehicle body replacement. The resource pack includes the following assets: AI blueprint, racing line blueprint, crash barrier blueprint, engine sound blueprint (with licensed audio), high-speed braking point blueprint for long straights followed by sharp turns, and racetrack markers.
