Wingsuit Glide Component 5.2 introduces a physics-based wingsuit gliding system that can be added to your project in minutes. The component features smooth dynamic gliding motion through animations and additive poses. Wingsuit behavior can be customized via adjustable parameters on the component. It includes an adjustable Updraft Blueprint that can push the player upward during gliding or falling, and a Speed Boost portal that enhances forward movement. A boost system allows players to accelerate forward while gliding. The system supports gamepad input and includes basic UI. A diving system enables players to dive toward the ground when gliding or falling. All Blueprints are fully commented for easy understanding and integration.
Version updates include a toggleable feature to maintain velocity when stopping gliding, max rotation settings for pitch and roll to improve control and fix rotation glitches, and fixes for uncontrollable rotation upon stopping from trace hits. A diving animation issue has also been resolved by resetting animation variables. A 45-degree forward trace during gliding has been added to prevent the player capsule from getting stuck on static meshes. A bug in UE 5.4 where initial forward momentum was incorrectly applied has been fixed, preventing excessive forward launch.
The package includes: Wingsuit Component Blueprint, Wingsuit Interface Blueprint, Updraft Blueprint, Boost Portal Blueprint, character animations and AnimBP, Demo Character Blueprint, adaptive audio, cues, camera, and effects, and a demo open-world map showcasing the system. Network replication is currently not supported. More details are available at https://www.fab.com/listings/c1903b9c-6f4a-428a-a4fa-1185a11b5d2c.
