The component supports multiple damage recognition methods:
- Projectile-based and line trace-based ranged shooting systems
- Melee-based damage with collision-based (CollisionBoxes) and sphere trace-based methods
Reaction animations include physical animations and animation montages that play when characters take damage. Animation blending is supported based on character bone structure—for example, spine hits trigger animation montages, while leg, arm, or head hits trigger physical animations.
Reaction visual effects feature bone-based emitters that play at the hit location with customizable scales and play styles (continuous or mixed). Damage values can be adjusted based on body part through bone-based damage multipliers.
Different body parts can trigger unique sound effects—for instance, a head hit plays a critical sound.
