The Visual Engine v20.4.0 is a next-level set of shaders and powerful tools designed to unify any asset from the Unity Asset Store, Megascans, Speedtree, Tree Creator, and more, or custom models created by your team. It enables high-quality wind motion, interaction, local wind control, seasons, wetness, dynamic rain, advanced snow, subsurface scattering, layers for scans and moss, top projection, detail blending, gradient and variation tint, vertex occlusion, perspective correction, camera distance fade, glancing angle fade, crossfade, size fade, and more—supporting all vegetation assets and props using the Standard, Universal, or HD Render Pipeline. The Visual Engine features a one-click conversion workflow for third-party assets. Once converted, the assets are fully compatible with all included features and work seamlessly across all render pipelines. The converter uses text-based presets with a comprehensive but easy-to-use API, enabling full unification with just one click. It includes a comprehensive set of modular elements for motion and interaction, supporting unlimited characters, local wind, dynamic seasons, global overlays (such as snow, sand, and dust), wetness, tinting, size control, and leaf amount—with minimal performance impact. These elements work with layers, allowing fine-grained control over how each material responds to global effects in the scene. The package includes an advanced Material Manager for setting up multiple materials or prefabs at once, saving, and applying presets. The Shader Manager adds support for popular instanced indirect renderers, and the Scene Debugger allows developers to inspect rendering and shader settings in real time. To explore the shader features, users can download the free Visual Engine Lite shaders, which support high-quality wind animation, snow overlay, layer and detail blending, vertex occlusion, gradient tinting, subsurface scattering, and emissive effects across the Standard, Universal, and HD Render Pipeline. The Visual Engine supports the following render pipelines: - Standard Render Pipeline 2021.3+ - Universal Render Pipeline 2021.3+ / 2022.3+ / 6000.0+ - HD Render Pipeline 2021.3+ / 2022.3+ / 6000.0+
