 Crest Ocean System URP v4.19 is a technically advanced, feature-rich ocean system designed for PC and console platforms. It supports Unity Engine version 2020.3.46 or higher. The system offers realistic ocean simulations with simulated light transport including reflection, refraction, scattering, caustics approximation, and shadowing. It features wave simulation using both FFT and Gerstner methods with an innovative 'equalizer' style wave authoring and a 'wave spline' technology for detailed control over water dynamics such as rivers, lakes, and shorelines. The system supports dynamic wave simulation for object-water interactions including boat wakes, shallow water effects with light scattering and wave attenuation, and foam generated from waves and shorelines. Ocean data can be manipulated using mesh, trail, line, and particle renderers. Underwater effects with partial submersion and meniscus are supported, along with water volumes that restrict rendering to specific geometries. Shader Graph nodes allow underwater effects on transparent objects, and flow enables horizontal motion of water volumes. A physics interface provides buoyancy support and compatibility with Dynamic Water Physics 2. The system includes flexible time synchronization for networking and cutscenes, surface clipping to carve out hulls or caves, and full support for both deferred and forward rendering, as well as perspective and orthographic views. It also features example scenes for various use cases, detailed helpboxes with validation errors and fix buttons in the Inspector, and online documentation with embedded videos. Additional features include VR/XR support (Single Pass Instanced) and extensive usability improvements.
