 MF.SSGI is a screen space global illumination solution for Unity's Universal Render Pipeline (URP) that delivers real-time global illumination and occlusion with raymarched shadows. It offers high visual fidelity while significantly reducing production time by replacing baked GI and light probes with dynamic, real-time lighting. Designed for performance, MF.SSGI runs efficiently on all platforms, including mobile, thanks to its highly optimized HLSL Shader Model 3 code that does not require ray tracing (RTX/RX). It supports older hardware and works across all major graphics APIs, providing broad platform compatibility. The solution is especially useful in projects with dynamic environments where light baking is not feasible. It includes a reflection probe fallback system, ensuring off-screen light sources are still processed. Art settings are fully decoupled from quality settings and can be customized per post-process volume or scene, with platform-specific configurations managed via Scriptable Objects. A built-in visual debugger enables developers to inspect and optimize lighting performance in real time, improving development efficiency and final visual quality. MF.SSGI is compatible with Unity 2021.3.0f1, 2021.3.12f1, 2021.3.16f1, 2022.2.0f1, and 2022.2.3f1.
