This asset enables rendering 3D world objects or prefabs directly within UI elements using the new UI Toolkit, not the default uGUI. It supports built-in, URP, and HDRP render pipelines and works consistently across all render pipelines. Key use cases include displaying 3D items in inventory UIs, showing 3D portraits of NPCs, and creating top-down mini-maps of levels. To use the asset: 1. Create a WorldObjectRenderer in the scene and assign it an ID. 2. Drag the WorldImage element from the UI Builder Library into your UI. 3. Enter the renderer ID in the WorldImage component. 4. Done. HINT 1: Disable "Use Render Textures" to enable camera stacking instead of render textures. HINT 2: Use PrefabInstantiator to instantiate and destroy prefabs on demand. HINT 3: Multiple images can share the same renderer by setting them to the same renderer ID. Transparent objects work out of the box, but refer to the "Transparency" section in the manual for details. The asset is compatible with Unity 2021.3+, 2022, 2023, and Unity 6 LTS and may work with earlier versions, though those are not tested. Always review the manual’s intro section before purchasing. For support, contact office@kamgam.com with your Asset Store order number, Unity version, and a note that you’ve tried upgrading to the latest LTS version.
