Enviro Lite - Sky and Weather v2.4.2 is a complete dynamic, lightweight solution for realistic skies and weather in Unity. It features an easy-to-use manager component for quick setup in any scene. The profile system allows users to tweak sky settings in real-time, save configurations, and load them in both design and runtime, enabling scene-specific or shared profiles. Enviro Lite supports a realistic day-night cycle with full latitude and longitude support, allowing time to be synced with system time or updated based on real-time minutes. The package includes a lightweight skybox shader with two gradient controls (horizon and top sky) and Mie scattering for natural-looking skies across all platforms. Realistic lighting is achieved based on sun altitude, with full control over intensity and color via editor curves and gradients, and multiple ambient light modes available. Seasonal changes are supported, with customizable start and end days, and temperature simulation based on season, time of day, and weather. Dynamic clouds are rendered using particle-based and skybox-based systems with three cloud layers, including cirrus clouds. An advanced fog system supports distance, height, and sky fog with optional transparent material support and Unity forward fog for performance on mobile devices. A powerful weather system enables custom weather types, including 11 premade options (clear sky, cloudy, rainy, stormy, snowy, foggy), with support for lightning, ambient sounds, and smooth transitions. Networking support is built-in for UNet, Mirror, and Photon, synchronizing time and weather across players, with a minimal mode for headless servers. The solution is optimized for virtual reality, supporting multi and single-pass instanced rendering, tested on Oculus Rift. Additional features include an event system, weather zones for biomes, and vegetation growth simulation.
