 Shiny SSR 2 - Screen Space Reflections v32.0.1 adds realistic screen space reflections to your scenes in real-time. This resource pack includes two optimized packages for different rendering pipelines: Shiny SSR for the Built-in pipeline and Shiny SSR for URP (Universal Rendering Pipeline). Both packages offer the same functionality and support both forward and deferred rendering paths. Key features include: - Contact hardening to sharpen near reflections with customizable distance fuzziness and decay levels. - Physically based reflections in deferred rendering with fresnel, smoothness, and energy conservation (also compatible with forward rendering). - Spatio-temporal filtering and specular reflection controls to reduce shimmering and eliminate flickering. - True depth computation of objects. - Option to generate either realistic/specular or dark reflections (dark reflections appear as shadows and are faster to compute). - Detailed raymarching settings. The asset is optimized for both forward and deferred rendering paths: - In forward rendering mode, global raytracing settings can be overridden per object, enabling fine-grained control and performance tuning. Reflections can be applied selectively to specific objects via layers, name filters, or specific submeshes. - In deferred rendering mode, Shiny SSR uses gbuffers to achieve more accurate physically based reflections by leveraging per-pixel normals and smoothness data independently of scene objects. Shiny SSR supports hybrid rendering, allowing reflections on both deferred and forward-compatible objects, such as puddles (a puddle example is included in the demo scene). The package includes a demo scene and a quickstart guide (PDF) with step-by-step instructions.
