 Moving Formations v2.1.0 (26 Mar 2026) introduces a robust system for enabling units to maintain formation while moving across the scene. The core package calculates desired positions for each unit in any formation configuration, without relying on internal navigation, giving developers full flexibility to integrate with their preferred navigation systems. It offers extensive customization options for behavior parameters such as speed, rotation, split, and join actions, and supports different unit types (e.g., infantry, archers, cavalry) to be assigned to distinct segments within the formation. Experimental features are available but not yet complete. In addition, the package includes a Unit Formation module for built-in control and unit management. Both components feature native integration with Unity’s NavMesh (full support) and A* Pathfinding Project (partial support). While the formation system does not include full A* support, developers can implement the required interface to achieve full compatibility. This resource pack is an early release and not all features are 100% production-ready.
