Introduction to the Jerboa Game Resource Pack The Jerboa resource pack includes a fully rigged and animated character designed for use in Unity. It features two polygon variants: a low-poly model with 1,205 vertices and a middle-poly model with 4,806 vertices. The character includes detailed textures for the body and whiskers, with resolutions of 1024x1024 for body base color and normal maps, and 512x512 for roughness, whisker base color, normal, and opacity mask. The pack contains animations in both in-place and root motion formats, totaling 49 animations, including 38 root motion variations for walk and run. Animations are synchronized with the capsule component’s angular and forward velocity, and automatically adjust animation speed based on MaxWalkSpeed and character scale to prevent foot slipping. The character is rigged but not scaled to or rigged for the Epic skeleton. It includes a basic AI system (BP_AIJerboa) that follows the player with minimal functionality and supports NavMesh. The AI can be easily replaced or modified by users. The main character controller (BP_JerboaThirdPersonCharacter) supports intuitive keyboard controls: WASD or arrow keys for walking, R for running, J for jumping, 8 for speeding up, 2 for slowing down, Tab for attacking, H for hitting, M for sitting, K for death, L for rebirth, G for grooming, T for toggling tail physics, and P for toggling mesh collision response. The resource pack is fully compatible with Windows and macOS development platforms and can be built for Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. The character has 72 bones and comes with a fully operational demo scene featuring both the playable character and the AI follower.
