Decal Forge v1.0 is a next-generation procedural decal system designed to expand the Forge ecosystem by integrating seamlessly with Surface Forge, World Forge, and Cloud Forge. It enables artists to create high-fidelity surface details with unmatched speed and flexibility through a fully blueprint-driven system. The tool features intelligent alignment tools that automatically adapt decals to any surface—flat, curved, or complex—ensuring perfect projection. Users can choose from a range of built-in decal shapes or import custom maps for extensive creative control.
Decal Forge supports a wide variety of surface details, including architectural elements like windows, doors, and vents, as well as surface effects such as wall markings, numbers, and ground clutter. It includes Parallax Occlusion Mapping with dynamic shadow projection, allowing decals to display convincing depth and light interaction for lifelike environments.
The system is optimized for cinematic precision and real-time efficiency, making it ideal for enhancing photorealistic environments, adding storytelling elements, or building dynamic materials in conjunction with other Forge systems. It is recommended for cinematic or high-quality visual production, with optimization and responsible placement advised for real-time use.
