 The Platforming Solution Module for Game Creator 2 v1.9.2 introduces a versatile Platforming Controller designed to simplify and enhance complex platforming mechanics within Game Creator 2. Whether used with Rigidbody, NavMesh Agents, or Character Controllers, the controller delivers precise, efficient, and seamless platforming functionality. It offers a comprehensive set of features including Fall Override, which automatically clamps the character’s falling speed when walking off a ledge without jumping, ensuring a smooth, controlled descent and reducing frustration with a “floaty” feel inspired by titles like Celeste, Super Mario Odyssey, and Ori and the Blind Forest. A new Fly Mode allows characters to levitate and fly in the direction of the camera’s view when forward or backward input is pressed. Upon stopping flight input, the character gradually decelerates due to momentum, with customizable settings for Fly Momentum Multiplier and Fly Stop Momentum Duration to fine-tune the aerial movement. The module also includes Wall Slide and Jump mechanics tailored for Character Controllers, enabling fluid and responsive movement on vertical surfaces. Additionally, it supports exciting Rail Grinding using Unity Splines and ensures optimized AI navigation on moving and rotating platforms, eliminating jitter and distortion for smooth AI behavior. Unlike other solutions that apply performance-intensive Auto-Sync Transforms to all physics objects, this controller synchronizes only the character, ensuring precision without performance overhead.
