 The Visual Engine | Terrain Blanket Module v21.6.2 (29 Apr 2026) introduces a powerful tool for conforming and aligning large patches of grass or groups of rocks to the terrain surface and normal direction. The module uses pre-baked pivots to treat each sub-mesh as an individual object, enabling efficient coverage of large areas with fewer grass objects, or allowing objects like roots to be aligned to the terrain surface as a 3D mesh decal. It supports seamless object-to-terrain blending when used in conjunction with the Terrain Shaders module. Compatible with Standard, Universal, and HD Render Pipelines (2021.3+ and later versions), the Terrain Blanket Module ensures high-quality visual results across a wide range of Unity rendering pipelines.
