LiDAR Desert Landscape v5.3+ is a high-fidelity game resource pack designed for Unreal Engine 5.3 and above. Based on real-life LiDAR data, the landscape is professionally converted and assembled into 3D with real 1M vertex density, ensuring no stretching or scaling. All meshes are procedurally distributed using PCG for bushes, small rocks, and stones, while large boulders are distributed via PCG as well. The resource pack supports Nanite, with bushes, rocks, boulders, and stones rendered as Nanite meshes, and fully integrates with Lumen, where the landscape and vegetation contribute to real-time global illumination. The pack features extensive material customization, allowing changes to color, specular, roughness, normal, and ambient occlusion properties. Foliage includes support for Pivot Painter 2 Wind effects on bushes. The landscape is scalable, with a playable area of 64 square kilometers and a high-poly Nanite background. It includes all necessary sequencer tracks, cameras, and lighting setups, as well as paintable landscape layers. Rocks, stones, and bushes automatically update and spawn based on painted layers, though it's recommended to deactivate the PCG volume during painting to avoid unwanted updates. The content includes: 1 landscape, 1 background, 5 bushes, 8 boulders, 8 rocks, 8 stones, 7 materials, 1 seamless road, 1 rain Niagara, 1 dust particle, and 1 fog particle (with 6 additional materials). The resource pack requires enabling the PCG plugin, which is included with Unreal Engine. Released on January 15, 2024, as version v1.0.
